Ritchie

Tuffy aka (ritchie) from the michigan pug rescue went to live with my dad, dan mccully in feb 2011. only 6months after my mother had passed away. I started emailing my dad pics of ritchie and showing him his first foster grand puppy in dec. 2010.. His love quickly turned for ritchie and my dad wanted me to bring ritchie to him so he could have a forever home. I could not believe that this little dog won his heart so quickly. In feb 2011 I took ritchie to the bahamas to live with his new dad and big brother rufus. my dad calls me every day to tell me whats going on with his kids. I can not believe that this sweet lil pug that nobody wanted, helped my dad to mend a piece of his heart after my mom had passed. Now tuffy aka (ritchie) gets dressed up along with his brother rufus and goes to parties just like all the other kids do down there. Thank you sooooo much michigan pug rescue, for giving my dad a little more love in his heart.

Mickey

Micky at last night's Pennsylvania SPCA Good Dog Gala annual fundraiser event. He did very well and there were lots of dogs there. He got lots of hugs and kisses and pets from the folks there. He also had his photo taken by the SPCA photographer and the Philadelphia abc tv station got a shot of him. Maybe it will show up on tv today...wpvi 6. My aunt went with me. My Lucy who can get a little goofy stayed home with Terry while Micky and I were on our date. Can't believe it, but Micky turned 11 1/2 on October 1. Gina

Stu

adopted Stu in November in 2009. He was recovering from femoral neck fractures and bilateral Legg-Perthes (which is a disease that causes a collapse in the hip joint). When I adopted Stu I had to perform various exercises with him to strengthen his hip bones and the muscles around them. He recovered perfectly from the surgery and the vet said that the exercises helped. Since the day I brought him home he has been a loyal companion. Stu eventually learned to walk on his back legs and even learned how to jump through his healing process. I have owned 2 pugs before Stu and I could not be more happy with how the Pug Rescue took care of him before I adopted him. Based on the cost of Stu's surgery, there is a good chance that in the wrong care Stu could have been euthanized. I am very happy that did not happen!!!

Henry Jo

Here is a recent picture of Henry Pug, who we adopted 4 years ago. We chose him for his personality. When we first met, Henry was upside down in Larry's arms at a meet and greet...since we were looking for a lap dog, he seemed to fit the bill pretty well. We were actually surprised when we picked Henry up a few days later to realize how handsome he is! So here's Henry Pug, lying in the sun like he loves to do, and being gorgeous. He's a great guy, and we love him very much! Julie Larson & Dee Hurlbert

Duke

Yesterday was Duke's one year anniversary coming to live with us. He is doing great! Here he is chillin' on the boat this summer! Also, with his pug brother Joey who we adopted from MPR back in December of 2003! Thought you might like an update. The Havasis 7/26/11
