Skippy
One year ago April 5th, we picked up Skippy and brought him to his forever home. One of my girls said that it was the "BEST DAY OF HER LIFE". After a couple days of adjustment Skippy fit right in. He thrives on being a part of the family, that is being close to us all the time. I have to admit the promises of my three children, that they will walk him, feed him, etc have never come to fruition, but he adores each of them. They say it takes a Village to raise a child, well, it takes one to raise a dog too. The neighbors adore Skippy and offer to walk him and feed him if we are not going to be home for an extended period. Skippy had a rough time with a stomach issues and scratched his cornea (while sniffing under shrubs we think), he is adored by all the Vets that have cared for him and helped him heal. My girlfriend got me a picture frame that says "who saved who" and I have to say that he has been such a joy and enhancement to our lives. He manages to get on top of the kitchen table and counters, he is a little monkey, we learned his tricks pretty fast though. When we picked him up he was 14 pounds, today he is about 21 pounds which is ideal for him. He loves to go for long walks and loves to sit on my lap and for some reason he loves clothes hampers (clean or dirty, he doesn't care).
I wanted to Thank Michigan Pug Luv for allowing us to adopt Skippy, he is a wonderful little guy.
Thanks again,
Kristen, Bijal, Sam, Claudia, Lauren & Skippy
Parker
Hi Kathy & Jim!
I thought I would drop you a quick note to let you know how Parker is doing in his new home! He was so good in the car all the way home - both he and Paczki were really worn out! He slept good his first night - he wasn't real sure about sleeping in a bed at first, but that lasted about 10 minutes and he was fast asleep!
Parker is having fun with his new brothers and sister too - playing fetch and going for walks. I gave him a bath last night and he ran around the house all excited -- it was hilarious. Him and Paczki played around in the living room and chased each other for a bit. Parker's energy has been really great for Paczki, which is exactly what we were hoping for!
Parker is such a good boy, I feel really blessed to have adopted such a wonderful dog. Thank you for being his foster parents, I really appreciate what you do and glad he was with such loving people!
I have attached a picture of Parker and his new brother Paczki - they pose so good together!
Have a great weekend!

Olive
Rob and I adopted Olive from Michigan Pug Rescue when she was surrendered because of a pink spot that used to be on her nose. The previous owners thought she might have an auto-immune deficiency problem. The owners knew they couldn't afford the cost of care for that. She was tested and found healthy. As soon as my husband and I saw her, we scooped her up to be a sister to our 2 male pugs. We are a happy family of 5 plus a cat that they attack all the time. She's our smallest pug,but acts like she's three times her size when it comes to sassing her brothers.
Bella
Here is a photo of Bella with her award. Bella earned a First Place Award at Obedience School. Bella attended a 6 week basic obedience class with 11 other dogs. The trainer said that Bella is the smartest pug she has trained in over 30 years of classes. Bella is now going to attend Advanced Class beginning on Nov. 5. We are so proud of her!! We thought that we would share this good news with you!
