Adopted February 1, 2020

12/2/2019:  Mario received his Cytopoint injection as well as his annual Lepto vaccine and a brief exam.  He is doing well with the injections.

10/2019; Mario received his 2nd Cytopoint injection this month for his allergies.  The injection done monthly seems to be helping with his environmental allergies.

Mario is making strides with his behavioral training.  He likes to run when he is outside.  He is a power chewer and will take the squeaks out of toys.  He needs toys that he cannot chew through.  He likes to lay outside in the hammock and relax,

Mario saw the Allergist at MSU on April 17th.  He was diagnosed with mild allergies not requiring any testing at this time.  He is to continue to take Benadryl twice daily and was placed on Derma-3 once daily.  He stated because of his age his allergies may worsen over time requiring allergy testing.

Mario came to Pug Luv from a woman who had adopted him from a very questionable rescue.  When she adopted him he had not been neutered and only had a Rabies vaccine.  He had worms and parasites which were treated as well as being neutered and receiving his DHLLP vaccine..  She received no adoption contract and she said all they wanted was her money.

He came to Pug Luv because he was too much for her to handle.  She lived in an apartment and had some medical issues that made it difficult for her to walk him.

He has been rechecked for the worms and parasites, received his first flu vaccine, heartworm tested and a thorough examination.  He has bilateral ear infections which require ear drops twice daily and has been started on his monthly heartworm medication.  He was seen again the first week of March for his second flu vaccine and to recheck his ears.  He was seen again on March 18th to recheck his ears.  There are now lesions in both ears in approximately the same place on each ear.  He may require a consult with the Dermatologist.

He weighs 35 pounds and as a puppy is full of energy.  He has had very little discipline.  He gets along with other dogs in the foster home and is good with children.  He does not realize his strength and is difficult to walk.  He will require a home with a fenced yard.
