Sally has been released from her Medical Hold and is now available for adoption. She will need her baths and will remain on her oral medications. Her Protein level in her urine remains high and at some point in time could result in kidney damage or failure. Sally was owner surrender to a local shelter who contacted Michigan Pug Rescue to take her into the program. She is 6 years old, potty trained, up to date of Rabies, DHLLP, Bordetella, heart worm testing and preventative, crate trained and has had a dental cleaning and some extractions. When she arrived at the rescue she had Kennel Cough. She has some allergies that are being treated with medicated baths every 5 days, topical spray daily and oral medication daily. She was extremely overweight and has been placed on a special diet to lose the weight. She has lost 12 pounds. The MPR Veterinarian believes she is a Pug/Bull Dog mix. She gets along very well with other dogs and loves children. She enjoys being outside with you and responds when called. She is very sweet loves to play with toys and chew bones and antlers. She can be destructive with her toys as she will remove the squeakers on them. She is spilling protein through her urine and has been placed on medication to attempt to resolve the issue.
Sally was seen by the Pug Luv Veterinarian on January 21, 2019. She will need to continue to have baths every other week in an attempt to grow her hair back . She will continue to get Apoquel once daily and Enalopril twice daily.
She will make a great addition to any home.
